A New Year Set with Intention
There’s a tradition I’ve been following for a few years now. I carry a notebook everywhere I go— from walking around town to traveling the world—and it never leaves my side. No one uses this “notebook” in exactly the same way, but once a year, we gather to reflect on the past year and set intentions for the year ahead.
Here are a few questions to help you start the new year with purpose. Write them down, answer them honestly, and let them inspire you:
What moments from last year still make your heart swell or ache when you remember them?
What did you release last year that made room for something new?
Which relationships nourished your soul, and which ones asked too much of your energy?
What limiting beliefs do you need to release for a successful year?
What seeds do you want to plant this year, even if you don’t yet know how they’ll grow?
If this year were a poem, what words or images would you want it to carry?
How will you honor yourself in the days to come, even in small, quiet ways?
Take your time with these questions. Let your answers be honest, messy, & real. This is your space to reflect, dream, and set intentions. May your year ahead be guided by clarity, courage, and the quiet wisdom that comes from listening to yourself.
